All mission work is furthered by dedicated time committed to prayer. Please join Jesus for Asia in committing this time to pray for the people and projects involved in the mission field. You can commit to pray alone, with a local church group, or with our JFA team.

Prayer Walking
Prayer Walking, in simplest terms, is walking and praying for God to work in the places and people you pass along the way.
Many around the world do not know the Living God. We may not know the best way to reach them, but God does. Jesus said, “God is spirit” (John 4:24). So, we should use spiritual tools to reach our spiritual objective of introducing people to Christ. Prayer is a major spiritual tool!
“The church of Christ on earth was organized for missionary purposes, and the Lord desires to see the entire church devising ways and means whereby high and low, rich and poor, may hear the message of truth. Not all are called to personal labor in foreign fields, but all can do something by their prayers and their gifts to aid the missionary work.” 6T 29.3
The elder brother of the prodigal son lived like a slave, hoping for a future payday. He didn’t realize his father saw him as a beloved son. “You never gave me anything,” the brother said. But the Father told him, “All I have is yours!” (Luke 15:25-31). Often, we identify ourselves by our achievements or our failures instead of how God sees us.
Our authority in Christ: God the Father honored Jesus above all others by seating Him at His right hand. In Ephesians 2:6, Paul says that in Christ, we are seated in heavenly places with Him. Jesus is above all principalities and powers, and we are His body.
Ask yourself, where do you want to see God working? You can prayer walk:
You can go alone, with a friend or family member, or with a group. At the end, reserve some time to debrief and share testimonies.
Spending time with God in prayer is essential for preparing our hearts and keeping us from distractions. It helps take the focus off of self so we can view those we’re praying for through the lens of God’s love for them.
“Brethren and sisters, have you forgotten that your prayers should go out, like sharp sickles, with the laborers in the great harvest field? As young men go forth to preach the truth, you should have seasons of prayer for them. Pray that God will connect them with Himself and give them wisdom, grace, and knowledge. Pray that they may be guarded from the snares of Satan and kept pure in thought and holy in heart.” 5T 162.1
God has given us His promises so we can claim them, make them ours, and stand upon them for the things we ask for. This is the science of faith.
“Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend…Prayer does not bring God down to us, but brings us up to Him.” SC 93.2
“…Wherever you place the sole of your foot that have I already given unto you…”
Joshua 1:3
“If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven.”
Matthew 18:19
“If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you want and it shall be done.”
John 15:7
“Satan knows better than God’s people the power that they can have over him, when their strength is in Christ.” “At the sound of fervent prayer, Satan’s whole host trembles.”

On your prayer walk, you can pray silently or out loud, as you walk, or while stopped; you can even sing! The most important thing is to talk to God about what He places on your heart as you go. As you pray, have faith that God will answer, even if you don’t personally see the results. God cannot lie (Titus 1:2); you can count on Him to be faithful to His Word.
